Illinois: Chicago Finance Department Announces Liquor Tax Update

The Chicago Department of Finance announced that effective March 1, a 1.5 percent tax will be imposed on the purchase of all alcoholic beverages from retailers when the beverages are intended to be consumed off the premises where the purchase occurs.
