IMF Suggests Netherlands Tax Changes to Rein in Budget Deficits

The Netherlands could help control budget deficits with changes in energy taxes and other tax moves, the International Monetary Fund said Friday.

Contemplated wealth-tax changes as well as a one-time solidarity tax increase on high incomes and businesses would move in the right direction, the IMF said in its annual review of the Netherlands’ finances.
