Indiana DOR Sustains Taxpayers Income Tax Assessment Protest

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a letter of findings sustaining taxpayers additional income tax assessment protest for tax years 2018 and 2019. Taxpayers protested the Department’s adjustments to their federal adjusted gross income which resulted in increased Indiana state income tax owed. DOR held that taxpayers proved that there is no longer a federal discrepancy, hence there is no longer a basis for the Department’s adjustments. [Ind.
