Individuals will be able to amend their 2020 tax returns, which they’ll file this year, electronically, the IRS confirmed in an email to Bloomberg Tax.
The agency announced in August that the e-file option would be available, but only for 2019 individual amended returns. At the time, the IRS said it was planning additional improvements for the future.
