Indonesia Begins Imposing Global Minimum Tax on Large Firms

Indonesia has begun implementing the global minimum tax on multinational companies, the country’s finance ministry said Thursday.

Multinationals with global revenue of 750 million euros ($772 million) or more are subject to the 15% tax for the 2025 tax year, a Ministry of Finance news release said.

The ministry is implementing the tax through a regulation issued Dec. 31, 2024, the release said. The regulation took effect Jan. 1.
