Intuit Inc. pulled an ad campaign that said taxpayers should “break up” with their tax preparer amid pushback from the tax professional industry.
The new advertisement encouraged taxpayers to use Intuit’s TurboTax experts, which are local tax preparers hired by the company, instead of independent tax professionals. Intuit agreed to end the ad and make changes by the end of October, the National Association for Tax Professionals said in a statement Tuesday.
