Ireland’s Donohoe to Exit Government, Eurogroup for World Bank

Paschal Donohoe is set to step down as Ireland’s finance minister to become the managing director at the World Bank.

Donohoe, 51, who also heads the meetings of his euro-area peers, has been offered the No. 2 position at the development bank, according to a person familiar with his plans, who declined to be identified as the information is private.

The Irish Times first reported the move, saying he will resign from government this week.
