Irish Corporate Tax Intake Rises Despite Trump Reshoring Vow (1)

Ireland recorded a surge in corporation tax receipts last year, despite vows by US President Donald Trump to reshore American profits from the multinational hub.

Corporate taxes collected in 2025 increased 17% on the previous year, to €32.9 billion ($38.5 billion) on an underlying basis, according to the Department of Finance. That excludes receipts arising from a Court of Justice of the European Union ruling on Apple Inc. taxes.

Receipts collected in December were up by €1 billion from a year earlier.
