IRS Chief Counsel Pick Advances, Moves to Senate for Vote (1)

The Senate Finance Committee voted Thursday to advance the nomination of Marjorie Rollinson as President Joe Biden’s IRS chief counsel.

The committee voted 16-11 to move Rollinson’s nomination to a full Senate vote, according to the official tally. GOP Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Thom Tillis (N.C.) joined with Democrats to advance Rollinson’s nomination, indicating there may be bipartisan support on the Senate floor among moderate Republicans.
