IRS Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Lee to Retire in April

IRS Criminal Investigation Chief Jim Lee will retire on April 6 after close to three decades at the agency, the IRS announced Monday.

Lee led the unit when it helped shut down the largest financial marketplace and largest financial seizure in government history.

A replacement for Lee, who served in the position since 2020, hasn’t been named yet, the IRS said.
