The IRS office that works criminal cases is setting up an arm focused on data research and analytics.
The unit, to be named the Applied Analytics Section, will centralize data components from across the Criminal Investigation office, CI chief Don Fort told reporters Nov. 14 after a panel at an American Institute of CPA’s conference in Washington.
