IRS Employees End Bid to Intervene in Hunter Biden Tax Case

The end of Hunter Biden’s lawsuit against the IRS has also ended the attempt by two of its employees—including one who briefly acted as agency head—to intervene.

IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, along with Biden and the IRS, filed a stipulated agreement of a dismissal of the appeal in the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. The two agents had been seeking to intervene in Biden’s suit against the IRS, where it had been deemed liable for the involuntary disclosure of his tax information.
