IRS Form: Draft Form 1040 Schedule A for Itemized Deductions (IRC §63)

Draft Form 1040, Schedule A, Itemized Deductions, released July 19. The form shows the 10% threshold for medical expenses for all taxpayers beginning after 2018, the $10,000 cap for state and local tax deductions that continues in place from the 2017 tax act, and instructs taxpayers to attach to either their Form 1040 or the new Form 1040-SR for senior citizens.
