Draft Form 8889, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) calendar year 2021 released July 28. The draft carries over the 2020 version unchanged except for change in year dates. The draft Form 8889 incorporates changes to reflect the CARES Act increases to the availability of telehealth and other remote care for health savings accounts as well as the CARES Act expansion of the definition of “qualified medical expenses” to include unprescribed medicine and menstrual care products paid for after 2019.
