IRS Has Sent Nearly $158 Billion in Relief Payments to Americans

The IRS has sent out more than 88 million coronavirus relief payments worth nearly $158 billion as of April 17, according to new figures announced Friday alongside state-by-state data.

California, Texas, and Florida have received the largest number of payments with 9.1 million, 7.8 million, 6.3 million, respectively, according to a news release from the agency.
