The IRS announced a Feb. 7 hearing to solicit feedback on proposed changes to donor disclosure requirements for nonprofit organizations.
Speakers have until Jan. 17 to send an outline of their remarks on the proposal (REG-102508-16), the notice said. The proposal followed a federal judge’s ruling that 2018 guidance throwing out a requirement that certain nonprofits disclose their major donors to the agency violated a required a notice-and-comment process for major rule changes.
