IRS Improving Service on Practitioner Phone Line, Official Says

The IRS has been working to improve service on its practitioner phone line, a top agency official said Wednesday.

“Hopefully over the last two weeks or so, you’ve noticed particularly for our practitioner priority service, that we are answering the phones in under 10 minutes,” Ken Corbin, commissioner of the IRS wage and investment division and chief taxpayer experience officer, said at a seminar hosted by the California Society of Enrolled Agents.
