Revision to Internal Revenue Manual 3.5.20, Processing Requests for Tax Return/Return Information, that would update deadline for Participants to use the new income verification express service (IVES) coversheet and add fax number requirement released May 31. Effective June 6, 2022, IVES participants can only utilize the new coversheet (revision January 2022), the IRS stated. Record retention standards for Form 706 also updated.
