The IRS is making it easier for whistleblowers to report tax abuse to the agency with a new digital form.
Form 211, an application for award for original information, was released Friday. Offering it electronically is expected to shrink transcription errors and costs as the agency works toward using less paper, the agency said in a press release. Paper has plagued the agency for decades and reducing the agency’s reliance on it has remained a priority across presidential administrations.
