IRS Launches New ID Verification Process for Online Tools

Taxpayers now have access to an improved identity verification and sign-in process for various online tools and applications, the IRS announced Wednesday.

The mobile-friendly verification procedure can be used to access IRS online services such as the child tax credit portal, online accounts, and access to transcripts, identity protection PINs, and online payment agreements, the agency said.
