IRS News Release: Additional Details on Transition Tax on Untaxed Foreign Earnings (IRC §965)

Additional information to help taxpayers meet filing, payment requirements for tax code Section 965 transition tax on untaxed foreign earnings, the IRS announced. In addition to final regulations related to Section 965, the IRS released frequently asked questions to address certain general issues that aren’t specific to the filing of a 2017 or 2018 return.
