IRS News Release: Filing, Payment Deadlines Postponed for Puerto Rico Taxpayers Affected by Recent Severe Storms, Flooding, Landslides (IRC §7508A)

Taxpayers who reside or have a business in certain Puerto Rico municipalities — Cataño, Dorado, Toa Baja, Vega Alta, and Vega Baja — affected by severe storms, flooding, and landslides beginning Feb. 4, 2022 now have until June 15, 2022, to file various 2021 returns and make tax payments, the IRS announced Mar. 31 following a disaster declaration issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
