IRS News Release: IRS Advisory Council Issues 2023 Annual Report

The IRS Advisory Council (IRSAC) issued its annual report for 2023, including recommendations on new and continuing issues in tax administration, the IRS announced Nov. 9. The 2023 report includes recommendations on twenty-three issues covering a broad range of topics including: 1) timely obtaining employer ID numbers to comply with the Corporate Transparency Act requirements; 2) Form 1099-K reporting; 3) self-correction guidance for employee plans; and 4) forms modernization.
