IRS Pilot for Large Corporations Aims to Ease Appeals Process

The IRS is testing a new online program intended to make communication during the appeals process easier for large corporations.

The agency is piloting “corporate group mailboxes,” which aims to enhance secure messaging between taxpayers with multiple representatives and the Independent Office of Appeals. Companies can request to join the pilot program by asking their appeals officer if they have an open case.
