IRS Processes Nearly 70 Million Returns
With just a few weeks left in the tax filing season, IRS processing of tax returns is on track with previous years.
The agency has processed 68.8 million returns as of March 13, according to IRS data released Friday.
Refunds remain higher than last year, with the average amount up to $3,623 from $3,271.
