IRS Seeks to Foreclose on Houston Home for $6.3 Million Tax Debt

The government hopes to seize the mansion of Houston businessman over a long-running tax debt.

The Department of Justice filed suit to reduce to judgment about $6.3 million in outstanding tax against Michael T. Willis in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Unpaid taxes from 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018 have accrued, and the government seeks to enforce federal tax liens against the property, according to the complaint.
