Business travelers may be able offset some of the costs of hotels, airline tickets, and other travel-related costs by claiming business travel deductions when they file their taxes, the IRS stated. Deductions for business travel are available when employees must travel away from their tax home or main place of work for business reasons, the IRS provided.
