When tax professionals should visit the Taxpayer Advocate Service, how the agency can help, and what information you may need before visiting, the IRS’s Taxpayer Advocate Service said in a tax tip released January 24. TAS helps with individual taxpayer problems and recommends systemic changes at the IRS or in tax law. Tax practitioners should have signed Forms 2848 and/or 8821 before interacting with TAS.
