The IRS agreed with a federal watchdog that it should develop an agency-wide strategy for making all tax forms available for electronic filing.
“We will reevaluate e-filing options and coordinate across the organization to understand stakeholders’ digital needs, the challenges in meeting these needs, and develop a clearer and more comprehensive view of our ongoing digitalization efforts,” Kenneth Corbin, commissioner of the IRS Wage and Investment Division said in its response to a Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration report released Monday.
