IRS Will Reply to Calls for Probe After Capitol Riot (Correct)

The IRS will respond to congressional requests for an investigation into the role nonprofits may have played in the Jan. 6 riot that devastated the U.S. Capitol.

Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal (D-Mass.) had urged the IRS to examine the role tax-exempt organizations may have played in the insurrection.
