The Israeli Tax Authority March 13 announced the Finance Minister’s signing of an order to continue the purchase tax on electric vehicles, with amendments. The order includes measures to: 1) impose a 45 percent purchase tax on private electric vehicles with a benefit ceiling of 35,000 Israeli shekels (US$9,512), from March 13 until Dec. 31; 2) impose a 45 percent purchase tax on commercial vehicles of all weights with a benefit ceiling of 35,000 shekels from March 13, 2025, until May 12, 2025, and a 35 percent purchase tax with a benefit ceiling of 50,000 shekels from May 13, 2025, ...
