Kansas Enacts Taxpayer Agreement Act

The Kansas Governor signed the Taxpayer Agreement Act. The law includes authorizing a city to issue bonds pursuant to a taxpayer agreement in accordance with the Act as an alternative to financing a redevelopment project, as provided in the tax increment financing law, using tax increments and tax increment bonds.
