Kansas Governor Vetoes Another GOP Tax Cut Bill, Offers New One

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed a bill on Wednesday that would have gradually cut $1.5 billion in taxes, asking legislators to consider a slimmer tax reduction package instead.

But leaders in the House, where the vetoed measure had won unanimous support earlier this month, said they plan to override the governor’s action. The bill had won 24-9 in the Senate.
