KPMG is now only the sixth-largest auditor of UK listed companies, behind BDO and PKF Littlejohn, after shedding more than half of its clients over the past few years.
The firm lost 10 clients as of Aug. 5, including a FTSE 100 firm, since May, according to Adviser Rankings Ltd.
All of the big firms have lost audit clients in recent years because the number of listed companies has shrunk by more than 300 since 2020, to 1,554, Adviser Rankings’ research manager Steve Smith said in a call Wednesday.
