Kuwait Joins Global Tax Deal, Bringing Total to 145 Countries

Kuwait has become the latest country to sign on to the OECD-led global tax deal, the organization announced in a statement Wednesday.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said the country agreed to join the Inclusive Framework—a group of countries’ delegates—to reduce base erosion and profit shifting on an international scale. With Kuwait’s addition, 145 countries have now signed the deal.
