President Donald Trump signed into law Wednesday the Republican measure to block a Washington, DC, law that decouples the District from various parts of the 2025 GOP tax law, which may spur lawsuits from local residents.

Senate Republicans last week cleared a resolution that would force the District to align its tax laws with more than a dozen provisions of the GOP’s mega tax law.
