The Malaysian Official Gazette May 29 published Order No. P.U. (A) 205/2026, the Employees’ Social Security (Minimum Daily Rate of Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations 2026. The regulation includes measures: 1) adding a reference to non-employment injury cases; and 2) setting minimum daily allowable benefit rates for temporary disablement or permanent total disablement at 30 Malaysian ringgits (US$7.57) for an employment injury case, and for a non-employment injury case at 18 ringgits (US$4.54) for the first phase, 24 ringgits (US$6.05) for the second phase, and 30 ringgits for the third phase.
