House Republican lawmakers hustling to finish legislation that delivers on President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax, immigration, and defense agenda might see their aggressive deadline to unveil all bills slide into next week.

Committees last week advanced portions of the reconciliation package, but several snags are bogging down the process. The House Energy and Commerce Committee delayed the markup of its portion of the sweeping bill until the week of May 12, indicating tax writers will likely take an extra beat before unveiling their portion.
