The Maryland Governor signed a law creating an income tax credit for retired 9-1-1 specialists. The law provides that for tax years 2026 through 2022, the tax credit equals 4.75 percent of the first $15,000 of retirement income attributable to service as a 9-1-1 specialist in Maryland, with a maximum credit of $700.
