Mauritius Tax Agency Announces Opening of 2025 Individual Income Tax E-Filing Season, Filing, Payment Deadline

The Mauritian Revenue Authority Aug. 29 announced the opening of the 2025 individual income tax e-filing season for the income year ended June 30, and the Oct. 15 filing and payment deadline. The announcement explains that a standard return is required of individuals who, in the income year: 1) earned net income over 390,000 Mauritian rupees (US$8,506); 2) earned gross business income over 2 million rupees (US$43,632); 3) earned emoluments for which pay as you earn (PAYE) was withheld; 4) earned income that was subjected to Tax Deduction at Source (TDS); or 5) had chargeable income.
