McConnell: Democrats May Have to Raise Debt Limit on Their Own

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says Democrats won’t get any help from his party to raise the debt limit if they push through a partisan tax and spending package.

• “If they don’t need or want our input, they won’t get our help with the debt limit increase that these reckless plans would require,” McConnell says on the Senate floor. “I could not be more clear.”
