A Michigan man convicted of failing to file individual tax returns and pay payroll taxes for several businesses won’t get a new trial.
Dale Vernon Thrush, who was found guilty of seven tax charges earlier this year, “has not demonstrated that there was insufficient evidence to convict him” for failure to file his personal tax returns based on testimony of several witnesses, Judge Thomas L. Ludington wrote Tuesday in his denial for acquittal or new trial, rebuffing Thrush’s arguments.
