Mississippi Enacts Sales Tax Exemptions for Agricultural Lime, Fencing

The Mississippi Governor signed a law to amend the state’s sales tax code by exempting retail sales of lime used for agricultural purposes from taxation, and establishing a reduced tax rate of 1.5 percent for fencing materials used for livestock containment when sold to commercial farmers.
