Mississippi Extends Ripley City Hotel Tax Sunset

The Mississippi Governor signed a law extending the City of Ripley’s authority to levy a tax of up to 2 percent on hotel and motel room rentals and restaurant sales. The law extends the sunset date to July 1, 2030. The law takes effect upon passage. [H.B. 4005, enacted 04/01/26]
