Mississippi is getting a new chief tax collector following the departure of the former Department of Revenue Commissioner in early July.
- Gov. Tate Reeves announced on Monday the appointment of Chris Graham, who’s served as a Senate budget officer in the Mississippi Legislative Budget Office and an assistant director on the state’s Ethics Commission.
- Graham has spent 17 years as an attorney at several law firms, including “as lead counsel in multiple complex administrative actions challenging audits and recoupment requests by Medicare, Medicaid, and the Mississippi State Tax Commission,” according to a state news release.
