Mnuchin Says U.S. Weighing All Options if Digital Tax Talks Fail

Negotiations between the Trump administration and France are continuing over that country’s planned tax on digital services, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said.

“For the moment we’re in a 90-day period where we’re working with the French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire that we’re trying to find an international solution,” Mnuchin told reporters Sept. 10. “If we don’t we’ll consider all of our options, which Ambassador Lighthizer’s looking at” under a trade law Section 301 investigation.
