The Montana Governor signed a law revising the population limit for resort communities to collect the additional 1 percent resort tax on goods and services. Resort communities that were not established prior to Jan. 1, 2025, and exceed the population limit, may not levy the additional 1 percent resort tax. [S.B. 172, enacted 04/03/25]
