N.Y. Casinos Miss Tax Revenue Targets Ahead of City Expansion

Four casinos in upstate New York largely failed to meet local tax revenue projections, and pending legislation could further eat into those earnings, the state comptroller said Thursday.

A report from Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli on the casinos’ tax projections came as a warning to downstate municipalities that may be banking on a major windfall when the state issues three new casino licenses in their area.
