Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen named Jim Kamm, assistant vice chancellor of the business and finance division at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as the state’s new tax commissioner, effective Sept. 5.
“Jim has decades of experience in banking and financial services,” Pillen said. “That, combined with his public service, makes Jim a great pick to lead the agency.”
- Before his university position, Kamm held leadership roles at First Westroads Bank, TierOne, and First National Bank of Omaha, Pillen said in an Aug. 11 announcement.
- Deputy Tax Commissioner Glen White has been interim commissioner since December.
