Netherlands Floats VAT for Vacation Rental, Rideshare Platforms

The Netherlands is seeking feedback on a proposal to subject digital platforms for accommodation rental and passenger transport to value-added tax on their services.

The Ministry of Finance posted a consultation Friday seeking input by Nov. 3 on forthcoming legislation to introduce VAT and administrative obligations from July 2028.
